Montana Career Opportunity – Loan Processor Position – The Great Falls Development Authority

Job Summary:

The Great Falls Development Authority http://www.gfdevelopment.org is seeking a full time Loan Processor to assist with processing, closing, and servicing commercial loan applications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Obtain necessary loan documents from applicant to complete a loan commercial application.

* Package the application in conjunction with the loan officer and Small Business Development Center Director as well as public and private funding partners.

o Prepare loan documentation file – paper and electronic versions.

o Research, order, and prepare preliminary title reports, appraisals, environmental reports, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) statements, credit reports and other documents for processing loan applications in conjunction with the loan officer.

* Submit and track loan applications to in-house lending programs as well as other funding resources such as the SBA and Community Reinvestment Funds.

* Research, order, and prepare preliminary title reports, appraisals, environmental reports, UCC statements, credit reports and other documents for closing the loan in conjunction with legal counsel.

* Manage documents – update and maintain loan portfolio management system using electronic and paper documentation methods following appropriate policies and procedures.

o Update tickler system

* Prepare, deliver, and follow up on client and funding partner correspondence and information requests.

* Other duties include helping out with front desk/reception, picking up and distributing mail; taking, transcribing, filing, and distributing minutes from Board meetings.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

What you need:

* Minimum 2 year degree with focus in one of the following fields accounting, business management, legal, and/or finance.

* At least 2 plus years working experience with commercial and residential loan processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing.

* Initiative and ability to multi-task and effectively manage time and workload priorities.

* Excellent written and verbal communication and research skills.

* Ability to read and understand policies and procedures as well as basic legal documentation.

* Valid Montana Driver’s License

* Must pass a background check.

* Ability to operate a computer, MS Office Suites productivity software, and navigate the World Wide Web.

o Familiarity with managing databases is preferred but not required

* Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
