Yaletown Venture Partners sees promise in Pacific Northwest clean tech

Yaletown Venture Partners http://www.yaletown.com , a Vancouver firm specializing in local clean technology and IT startups whose portfolio companies include Microstaq Inc. and 6N Silicon Inc., has closed an initial $65 million on its $100 million Yaletown Ventures II Limited Partnership.
The firm, which concentrates its investments in early-stage startups, says this latest fund follows its debut $42 million fund, which was also raised in challenging market conditions in 2003.
