| October 29, 2008 |
The Montana Legislative Services Division is offering the public three opportunities to learn how to use a free online service to monitor the activities of the 2009 Legislature.
Legislative staff will demonstrate the Legislative Automated Workflow System, or LAWS, in Room 102 of the State Capitol in Helena at the following times:
* Nov. 19: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
* Nov. 19: 1 to 3 p.m.
* Dec. 4: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The demonstrations are free, and no pre-registration is required.
LAWS provides online access to legislative information before, during, and after sessions. With it, Montanans can find:
* Complete text of legislative bills * Up-to-date status of bills * Committee hearing schedules * Agendas for committee hearings and floor sessions * House and Senate votes on bills
You can find the LAWS website for the 2009 session at http://leg.mt.gov/laws.htm
The 61st regular session of the Legislature will begin at noon Monday, Jan. 5.
