First National Bank of Montana, a well-established and successful financial institution with 11 branches in western and southwestern Montana, is seeking applicants for an exceptional opportunity at our headquarters location in Missoula as President of the Bank’s real estate division. This position is responsible for the profitability and growth of the real estate division and for bringing a sales management focus to the supervision, training and mentoring of the real estate loan originators.

Responsibilities also include supervision of the mortgage processing center and the mortgage loan processors; regulatory compliance; and business development and marketing as relates to secondary market mortgage lending. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be a highly organized, energetic, flexible leader with the initiative and ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment. He/she must be able to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with close attention to quality and detail, and have the ability to work independently and with other team members.

Good communication, relationship management, negotiation, and influence/persuasion skills are essential. Must be motivated and a self-starter. The position requires at least 5-10 years of demonstrated experience and success in managing all aspects of residential mortgage lending with specific accomplishments in directing a staff of professionals who are committed to promoting a positive experience for customers and who are aligned with the bank’s strategic goals and return on investment objectives. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is required.
