Gaelectric http://www.gaelectric.ie/ , the renewable energy development and energy storage company and AirDynamics LLC, Clarkston, Washington USA announced the formation of a joint venture company, Gaelectric Northwest http://gaenw.com/ .

Gaelectric Northwest based in Clarkston, WA will expand the company’s current holdings in the United States from Montana into the Pacific Northwest. Gaelectric Northwest has a portfolio of projects in the tri-states of Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Lincton Ridge, a 200MW project in Oregon, is at an advanced stage of development. Gaelectric Northwest is also developing a pipeline of up to 4000MW over the next 5 years.

“There is a significant move from carbon based sources of energy to renewable in the United States,” said Brendan McGrath, CEO Gaelectric. “This new joint venture offers tremendous opportunity to contribute to the growing need for a secure local renewable energy supply.” “We are excited to be working in tandem with another company that shares our vision of a renewable future”, added McGrath.

“This is an excellent example of how a joint venture between an experienced international wind farm company, Gaelectric, and a local business can reach critical mass quickly with a quality build-out of projects aimed at delivering a serious sustainable energy footprint in the tri-state area,” said John Laney, CEO AirDynamics and Managing Director of the newly formed Gaelectric Northwest. “Our strong regional presence and existing pipeline of projects attracted Gaelectric initially to make contact”, stated Laney.

About AirDynamics LLC

AirDynamics is a Clarkston, Washington wind farm development firm founded by John and Joani Laney and Dave Richards and Marci Richards. John Laney’s background in heavy construction gave his other company (Fluidynamics) the opportunity to bid on the development of a wind farm in Eastern Washington. As he stood on the hills in Columbia County, he has a sense of the future and decided at that point to pursue project development of renewable energy sites. At the time of the joint venture AirDynamics had numerous projects in the tri-states of Washington, Oregon and Idaho in process. Lincton Ridge, a 200MW project in Oregon, is at an advanced stage of development.
