Women fleeing tech jobs because of glass ceiling

Climbing the Technical Ladder, a study conducted by the nonprofit Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, and the Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford University, paints a disquieting portrait of the challenges women face in professional advancement at high-tech firms. The first-time study surveyed 1,795 people at seven tech companies. (Only 2.4% of the Fortune 500 CEOs are women, says The Catalyst Group.)
