Welcome to YourEconomy!

Developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation, http://www.YourEconomy.org is a free research tool that enables visitors to take a closer look at business activity in their local communities—and across the United States.
YourEconomy presents a unique lens to view data from: Statistics are first sorted by three employer categories (noncommercial, nonresident and resident establishments). Then, resident establishments are subdivided into four stages that reflect different issues companies face as they grow. More details about the structure and significance of these categories can be found in the User’s Guide.
Composition, shows how establishments and jobs are distributed in a particular area according to employer categories and business stages. Visitors can look at statistics at the state, MSA, and country levels. Because it provides a baseline for viewing business activity, Composition is YourEconomy’s default view.
