Iowa biotech puts pig farm near Sioux Falls

An Iowa-based biotechnology firm is expanding to South Dakota.

Exemplar Genetics http://exemplargenetics.com/ of Sioux Center is establishing a swine operation north of Sioux Falls to raise pigs to be used in biomedical research.

"We're bringing these animals close to the customers who use them every day," said John Swart, president of Exemplar Genetics.
