Business closures cause concern about Spokane economy - Wheat Montana

With a slew of business closures around the city, Spokane seems to be feeling the tough economic times. Wheat Montana http://www.wheatmontana.com/ on the South Hill closed just the other day -- almost without warning.
The employees there say they lost their jobs because a bad economy somewhere else hit them here in Spokane. Employees at Wheat Montana were out of a job within a week. In fact, the restaurant closed so fast, the soup of the day is still listed on a blackboard and the menu is still on the wall.
