Local Telecommunications and Electric Companies Sponsor Youth Tour to Helena

September 22, 2008View for printing

Triangle Communications (Triangle) and Hill County Electric (HCE) are jointly sponsoring 27 high school juniors and seniors and their parents to travel to our state’s capital for two days during the 2009 Montana State Legislative session. The goal of the Capitol Connection program is to connect our youth with the legislative process and give them an understanding of the telecommunications and electric industries in Montana. Eligible public or home schooled high school juniors and seniors must receive at least one service at their home from Triangle or HCE and have a parent or guardian willing to accompany them. Participants will be chosen from a random drawing from all eligible entries.

In conjunction with Capitol Connection, Triangle and HCE are also sponsoring a t-shirt design contest. Those submitting a t-shirt design will automatically be entered in the drawing for the trip and the winner of the contest will receive an iPod Classic.

Guidelines, entry forms and contest rules are available at http://www.itsTriangle.com or http://www.HillCountyElectric.coop in the Youth sections or by calling Kev at 1-800-332-1201 ext 864. The deadline for both the tour and the t-shirt design contest is November 1, 2008.

Triangle Telephone Cooperative (TTC) and Central Montana Communications (CMC), now doing business as Triangle Communications (Triangle), provide local telephone service to over 18,000 access lines in 39 exchanges located in 16 counties. Hill County Electric Cooperative (HCE) was incorporated in 1945 and provides electric services and associated products to approximately 2,300 members over 3,342 miles of line in five north central Montana counties. Both companies are committed to providing members and customers access to advanced, high quality, reliable communications and electric services at competitive prices, while focusing on personal service and customer satisfaction.
