Little dream on the prairie - Kootenai County Professional Technical School

The dream of a state-of-the-art, professional technical high school is only now being uncovered. It has a long way to go before it's fully realized.
But what has happened thus far should serve as a community model for what can happen whenever perspiration, inspiration and cooperation get together.
Kootenai County Professional Technical School, or whatever it ends up being named, was likely conjured up by at least half a dozen minds over the past few years. But it was Ron Nilson who, months ago, assembled a rather astonishing group of people who began brainstorming in a quiet room at the Coeur d'Alene Inn.
The dream is a charter-quality high school operated by all three school districts, turning abundant local potential into a productive, well-paid workforce.
