Idaho National Laboratory and Idaho Farm Bureau Federation sign energy crop collaboration agreement

On Sept.16 at 9 a.m., Idaho National Laboratory http://www.inl.gov and Idaho Farm Bureau Federation http://www.idahofb.org/ (IFBF) will hold a news conference at the Idaho Farm Bureau Federation Building conference room, 275 Tierra Vista, Pocatello.

A second signing event will be held at 3 p.m. at the Stinker Station, an E-85 fueling station located at 3319 Garrity Blvd., Nampa.

INL Associate Laboratory Director for Energy and Environment J.W. “Bill” Rogers Jr. and IFBF’s President Frank Priestley will represent each organization during the signing ceremony.
This announcement and signing ceremony concludes an important period of consultation between the national laboratory and the IFBF.

The MOU includes collaboration efforts on testing of varied grasses that are intended to be dedicated energy crops, while at the same time focusing on the harvesting, collection and preparation of cellulosic and other feedstocks for biofuels processing.
