$100K grant lets Idaho man study geothermal

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded a Cascade man a $100,000 grant to determine the feasibility of converting a geothermal resource into renewable electricity.
G. David MacGregor will use the grant to study geothermal energy for aquaculture and greenhouse heating, and to develop a marketing plan for other geothermal uses, the USDA said Thursday.
