Easements allow Montana landowners to retain ownership

Recently, county commissioners in Flathead and Lewis and Clark counties followed the examples of several of their fellow western Montana counties and placed open-lands bond measures on their November ballots.
After taking part in the successful passage and implementation of an open lands bond in Ravalli County, we commend the commissioners in Flathead and Lewis and Clark counties for their foresight and vision in placing these measures on the ballot n and encourage the taxpaying citizens of both counties to take these proactive steps to protect the unique private landscapes that define their communities.
