Goomzee.com of Missoula, Montana, a Finalist in 2008 Real Estate Olympics

Similar to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing last month, where gifted athletes from around the world gathered to demonstrate their skills, real estate professionals gathered virtually on Inman News to identify leaders in real estate innovation. A magnitude of nominees ranged in specialized services from franchised brokerages to online listing services to connecting buyers and sellers via text message marketing.
The results of this competition ended in 8 finalists who were voted for the Gold, Silver and Bronze Real Estate Pacesetter 2008 award. Criteria for the nominees were harsh, which helped mobile advertising and lead generation provider, Goomzee.com, http://www.goomzee.com surface to the top 8 of over 40 registrants, ultimately landing just short of the Bronze.
The following four qualification requirements helped sift out the rookies from the experts: 1.) innovative web 2.0 company or user of web 2.0 technology, 2.) the size, need and demand for the companies/services, 3.) the quality or uniqueness of their services, 4.) the potential impact of their services on the industry. These qualification requirements gave Goomzee the opportunity to showcase their cutting-edge technology tool in front of the Inman News Community.
The 2008 Real Estate Olympics were moderated by Stefan Swanepoel. His expertise as a Visionary, Speaker and Management Consultant and also Chairman and CEO of RealtyU Group of Companies helped him sift through the applicants and identify the top 8 for final voting.
“In the spirit and excitement of the Beijing Olympics I thought it would be fun to discuss and blog about new real estate initiatives that are currently capturing the imagination of the real estate professionals and in an informal way share that "change" and "innovation" with the industry,” says Swanepoel.
Obeo, Roost and Condo Domain locked up the first three spots for the top medals. Goomzee took fourth place while Agent Shield, eShowings, Bug Realty and Beat You There placed in the final four spots. These 8 companies are recognized for their unique offerings to support real estate professionals and consumers during a time of continuous change and fluctuation in the industry.
