Eight Arkansas Two-year Colleges Offer Entrepreneurship Degrees

AR Colleges Offer Entrepreneurship Training Eight Arkansas two-year colleges will offer degrees and certificates inentrepreneurship this fall.
The degree is an Applied Associates Degree inBusiness Management or a stand-alone certificate in Entrepreneurship. Theentrepreneurship curriculum is based on input from 20 institutions providing anational perspective. Courses include opportunity and feasibility analysis,funding acquisition for entrepreneurs, and business organization andmanagement.
The entrepreneurship track is in line with Gov. Mike Beebe'seconomic development agenda for the state, addressing key components ofentrepreneurship and small business developm ent. Additional efforts to promotebusiness ownership are also underway through a partnership between ArkansasState University and the Arkansas Delta Training and Education Consortium.Students can begin earning college credits while in high school through a newcareer pathway in entrepreneurship to be delivered in 12 counties acrosseastern Arkansas.
