MSU-Billings business plan program helps both students and business owners

August 21, 2008View for printing

Senior business students at Montana State University-Billings are looking for new businesses that want help in devising business plans.

The project not only helps the new businesses get off the ground, but it provides valuable educational experience for the MSU-Billings students, said Tom Hinthorne, management professor at the school.

Senior students in his Management 488: Business Strategy class put their classroom theory into practice and put together the business plans, he said.

"This is a great opportunity to help students become valuable employees," Hinthorne said.

For more information on how to request a business plan, call Hinthorne at 657-2099, fax him at 657-2327 or e-mail to thinthorne@msubillings.edu. In addition, those interested in having a business plan developed should provide a brief history of the business and explain where you would like to see the business in five to 10 years.
