$500,000 corporate grant from the Coca-Cola Company helps Yellowstone's trails

Yellowstone National Park http://www.nps.gov/yell/ has more than 1,000 miles of hiking trails used by many of its three million annual visitors. But natural erosion, combined with heavy foot traffic, has taken its toll on the most popular trails. This damage not only limits enjoyment of these trails, but in some cases can cause safety hazards and trail closures.
The Yellowstone Park Foundation http://www.ypf.org/ recently received $100,000 from the National Park Foundation (NPF) to support the rehabilitation of hiking trails in Yellowstone National Park. The gift is the second installment of a $500,000 grant made possible as part of the National Park Foundation's Proud Partner relationship with The Coca-Cola Company Coca-Cola Company .
