Montana Senator Max Baucus announces University of Montana-Vietnam exchange program

Montana Sen. Max Baucus http://baucus.senate.gov/ today announced a new student exchange program between Vietnam and the University of Montana http://www.umt.edu/ .

The memorandum of understanding between Vietnam’s ambassador to the United States Le Cong Phung and the University of Montana will establish officially a relationship between the university and the dynamic southeast Asian country.

The program will include student and professor exchanges as well as curricula and information sharing. Vietnam now will be included among other international exchange programs offered at UM. Travel between the countries could begin as early as next year.

The exchange announcement is part of a larger ambassadors tour Baucus is hosting. Along with the Vietnamese ambassador, ambassadors from Colombia, Morocco, New Zealand and Peru also are currently touring Montana with the senator.
