Seattle venture capital firm puts money on Oregon. Voyager Capital plans to invest in at least two state companies a year

A Seattle venture capital firm wants to make a splash with its new Portland office, funding at least two Oregon companies each year and providing an infusion of money to heat up the state's lukewarm startup scene.
"It is a message to the market," said Diane Fraiman, a former Tektronix Inc. executive, now the Voyager Capital http://www.voyagercapital.com/ partner in charge of the Portland office. "We think there is a real gap in the marketplace, here in Portland and in Oregon in general."
