Iraqi immigrants settle into Billings, hope more will join them
| July 28, 2008 |
Aside from the prospect of a cold winter, a family of Iraqi immigrants is settling happily into a new life in Billings.
"I have heard a lot about the winter here," said Bahjat. "I am scared."
Bahjat is a 27-year-old Iraqi who came to Billings in early May and was later joined by his mother and sister. He asked that their names not be used and that he be identified only by his middle name, to protect relatives still living in Baghdad.
