Utah officials visit Idaho National Laboratory to discuss energy systems. INL Meets with Wyoming Governor

Utah Energy Advisor Dianne Nielson, other state officials and energy-efficiency entrepreneur Jon Lear recently visited INL http://www.inl.gov to learn about energy system developments in renewable energy, transportation, carbon management, oil shale conversion and hydrogen production.

The one-day visit was filled with briefings and laboratory tours of technologies and energy projects being considered as possible demonstrations in Utah.

"I’d like to thank this INL team for a very helpful day," said Nielson. "It has been very useful to visit and see the breadth of INL’s energy research. You’re answering our questions and helping the public sector by making available your research and demonstrations."

INL Meets with Wyoming Governor

INL Lab Director John Grossenbacher and other representatives from INL met on June 18 with Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal in Cheyenne, Wyo. The visit with the governor is a continuation of an effort to strengthen the lab’s relationship with states and provinces in the region. This is the second time in the past year that Grossenbacher has met with Freudenthal. He has also recently met with Utah Gov. Huntsman in Salt Lake City, and in January he hosted Montana Gov. Schweitzer in a tour of the lab.
