University of Montana to Host International Chemistry Symposium- July 6-10
| June 27, 2008 |
The University of Montana will host 80 scientists from 16 countries July 6-10 during the Fourth International Symposium on Bioorganometallic Chemistry.
The first three symposia in this series took place in Paris; Zurich, Switzerland; and Milan, Italy. This is the first such conference in the United States. The event was organized by the UM Department of Chemistry under the direction of Professor Ed Rosenberg.
The conference topics span the many applications of metal-containing organic molecules to biology. They include biogenic hydrogen production, organometallic enzymes, human toxicity of organometallic compounds, organometallics in structural biology and organometallic compounds in medicine.
