Idaho gets $140K from Steele-Reese Foundation for Gear Up to encourage low-income Idaho students to attend college or university

A federally funded program meant to encourage low-income Idaho students to attend college or university is getting $140,000 from a private foundation.
The cash comes from the Steele-Reese Foundation http://www.steele-reese.org/ , a trust for charitable causes in Idaho, Montana and Kentucky created a half-century ago by Eleanor Steele Reese, the scion of a wealthy New York banker who abandoned her East Coast roots to operate a small ranch near Shoup, Idaho.
