Gregoire And Sims To Address Green Jobs Conference, 6/21, Seattle, WA

Gov. Christine Gregoire and King County Executive Ron Sims will address the Washington State Good Green Jobs Conference this Saturday, June 21 at the University of Washington.
Union leaders, environmentalists and members of the low-income community will discuss ways to build a green economy while bringing 25,000 new, family wage jobs to Washington state.
The conference will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Mary Gates Hall. The $15 fee includes lunch, and scholarships are available.
To register, go to http://www.coolstatewashington.org/bluegreen.php. The UW's Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies and the Washington Blue-Green Alliance are hosts for the conference. Sponsors include the Washington State Labor Council, M.L. King County Labor Council, the Sierra Club and Climate Solutions.
