State Of Montana Signs ESRI Enterprise License Agreement for Unlimited GIS Software for State's 26 Agencies

June 20, 2008View for printing

The State of Montana has signed an enterprise license agreement (ELA) with ESRI http://www.esri.com that will provide unlimited quantities of ESRI geographic information system (GIS) software to the state's 26 agencies. The ELA also includes training and dedicated support contacts. With these resources, the state can more easily align business processes with its already strong use of ESRI GIS tools.

"This ELA is especially helpful to smaller agencies that, on their own, might not be able to afford the essential spatial software, training, and professional expertise necessary to support their applications," said Robin Trenbeath, Montana geographic information officer.

"Despite Montana having a small population in a large area, our GIS community is very active, progressive, and forward thinking; this effort exemplifies the spirit of this community," said Bryant Ralston, ESRI's strategic account executive for Idaho and Montana.
