MSU graduate places among top 50 in Google's Android Developer Challenge

Jeffrey Sharkey, a recent MSU computer science master's graduate, recently won $25,000 in a software design competition put on by Google. (MSU Photo by Kelly Gorham). A few months ago, when he probably should have been working nonstop on his master's thesis, Montana State University computer science student Jeff Sharkey decided to take on a side project.
The Minnesota native entered Google's Android Developer Challenge http://code.google.com/android/adc.html , a contest designed to get software developers working on programs for Android, Google's soon-to-be-released cell phone operating system.
