Helena's economy ranks high nationally
| June 11, 2008 |
The national economy may be in the doldrums — or worse — but according to one national measure, Helena’s business climate is faring better than that of most cities its size.
Policom http://www.policom.com/ , a Florida consulting firm that annually measures the economic strength of cities across the country, recently ranked Helena 13th out of 577 “micropolitan” urban areas with populations between 10,000 and 50,000 in its 2008 Economic Strength Rankings. The study views economic strength as “the long-term tendency for an area to consistently grow in both size and quality.”
