Leadership Montana Announces Class of 2009…

Leadership Montana http://www.leadershipmontana.org , a statewide collaboration of higher education, civic and business leaders, has selected the Class of 2009. This is the fifth class of Leadership Montana.
Leadership Montana presents an annual seven session program of leadership development and business and policy education. At the heart of Leadership Montana is the concept of community trusteeship. Leaders hold the future of their communities, their state and their families in trust. Leadership Montana members accept this role as trustholders and form an important bond, creating a powerful network of energy, talent and leadership for our state. In the first four classes of Leadership Montana, 166 members have completed the program.
The program will be conducted in seven locations across the state, beginning with an Orientation and Retreat in Big Sky on September 10 and concluding with Graduation in Billings on May 8, 2009. Other program locations will be Miles City, Missoula, Great Falls, Butte and Helena.
Leadership Montana, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and is supported by approximately 100 businesses and organizations across the state including Montana State University-Billings, First Interstate Bank, First Interstate BancSystem Foundation, Qwest, St. Vincent Healthcare, The Montana Chamber Foundation, Bresnan Communications, MDU Resources Group, PPL Montana, Washington Corporations, D.A. Davidson & Co., Montana State University, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana, Tractor and Equipment Company, US Bancorp Foundation, Montana State Fund, Payne Financial Group, the Foundation for Community Vitality, Hayden Marketing and Public Relations, Town Pump Foundation and many others.
Applications for Leadership Montana are reviewed by a statewide selection committee with a goal of assembling a unique, diverse group of participants capable of using the Leadership Montana experience to provide leadership in their communities and state.
The Class of 2009 includes 46 members representing 19 Montana communities. A list of the members of the Class of 2009 of Leadership Montana is provided below.
