Q: I'm starting up a software company and expect to hire three developers in the next six months. One guy I've been talking to, who I really want to join my company, has asked for an employment agreement. I'm leery about signing long-term agreements and having to pay severance if things don't work out. Is there a work-around for this? Is it better to employ him as a consultant?
