Hewlett-Packard hands out $7 million in school grants

Computer and printer maker Hewlett-Packard Co. http://www.hp.com awarded $7 million in equipment, cash and training to schools.
This is the fifth year Palo Alto-based HP (NYSE: HPQ) has given out these grants, meant to boost the use of technology in teaching. HP has handed out a total of about $60 million in the program since 2004.
This year the grants went to 149 schools, colleges and universities in the United States and Puerto Rico.
