GlaxoSmithKline lays off 16 workers in Hamilton, Montana

GlaxoSmithKline http://www.gsk.com/ officials laid off 16 workers at their Hamilton facility Thursday and Friday morning.
The workers were in the manufacturing facility of the plant, which produces an ingredient called MPL which improves the effectiveness of vaccines. GSK communications director Kenneth Inchausti said Friday morning that the positions were mainly entry-level employees.
“We regret the fact that something like this has to happen,” Inchausti said by phone from Philadelphia. “These are not numbers to us, they are part of this community.”
