Seattle, Spokane in get-to-know-you mood

If a love affair is preceded by a close friendship, and that first requires that two folks get to know each other, then the business communities of the Spokane and Greater Seattle areas are several steps away from anything resembling a romance.
But there are increasing indications of late that the let’s-get-to-know-each-other phase is gathering advocates on both sides of the state.
One of the indications is the cluster of Seattle-area companies opening offices in Spokane as part of their business growth strategies. Another is the recent recognition on the West side of the state for a couple of Spokane companies who have received regional honors for their accomplishments.
Some insightful individuals and companies have already seen the potential of Spokane’s role, or relations between the two metro areas, as enhancement for the statewide economy.
