Plum Creek seeks residential zoning on more than 6,000 acres in Ravalli County
| May 27, 2008 |
The Plum Creek Timber Company wants its land in Ravalli County to be zoned for residential development.
The company submitted its own zoning designations to the Ravalli County Planning Department earlier this month, hoping the densities the company are seeking will be incorporated into the countywide zoning process.
Ravalli County is in the midst of zoning the entire county, regulating density, lot line and building heights, among a slew of other particulars.
According to Plum Creek’s zoning wishes, more than 6,000 acres would be zoned at varied densities of one house per 10 acres, one per 20, and one per 40.
