A large-scale exercise in prevention, the Montana Meth Project http://montanameth.org is a unique public/private partnership focused on significantly reducing Methamphetamine abuse through public service messaging, public policy, and community action.
We are seeking an outgoing, goal-oriented, motivated individual who enjoys working in a creative, fast-paced, team environment to lead our statewide fundraising activities. This position requires excellent organization, strong communication skills (oral and written), professional networking ability, and the flexibility to work with a variety of partners including governmental, nonprofit, and corporate entities. Experience in fund development and/or targeted sales preferred.
Position requirements include:
Passion for the mission of the Montana Meth Project is essential. Candidates will not only possess outstanding fund development skills, but will also be an advocate for Projects mission and vision.
Develop and implement an annual development plan to meet the funding needs of the program through a diverse and growing donor base
Act as the lead in fundraising efforts, including solicitation of major gifts
Create proposals, presentations and other fundraising materials that effectively communicate the purpose and success of the program and ongoing communications that provide regular updates to donors
Develop and execute aggressive development campaigns including regional donor events and direct mail programs Ensure that appropriate recognition and appreciation is expressed to donors in a timely manner
Develop a follow-up process to collect pledges
Maintain accurate records of all donations and pledges
