Idaho's WIRED Workforce Development Alliance officially under way

Recipient of a three-year, $5 million grant from the U.S. Dept of Labor’s Employment & Training Administration (DOLETA) under the WIRED initiative, the eight counties of Idaho's south-central Region IV have created a private-public partnership now called the Workforce Development Alliance to support a variety of efforts to increase the numbers and quality of both high-skill jobs and skilled workers to fill them.
US Labor Dept official Douglas Small headlined the opening ceremonies that also featured Lt Gov Jim Risch and local leaders who are critical partners in this such as Jerry Beck of CSI, Jan Rogers of SIEDO and the grant's chief driving force & WDA co-chair, Joe Herring of Region IV Development.
