Montana State University Mountains and Minds spring 2008 issue now available

An MSU Yellowstone study that is redefining ecology, the best horseshoeing school in the country — hammers down, and maybe the fastest family on earth, are but three of the stories in the spring 2008 issue of MSU’s Mountains and Minds magazine, now available.

The third issue of the award-winning magazine also includes a story on the remarkable bonds of MSU graduates in Hollywood, the MSU student farm, and some compelling thoughts by David Quammen about writing, education and the West.

Read an inspiring profile of Evelyn Wanke of Rudyard who did not attend MSU, but whose generosity has changed agriculture education at the university. And learn a few things you might not have known about MSU basketball coach Brad Huse, high-flying national pole vaulter Ellie Rudy, the un-retiring Corky Brittan and WWAMI’s Linda Hyman.

If that isn’t enough, you’ll find out the real scoop about the cow in the cupola story.
