Highway 12 Ventures Announces Two New General Partners

Executives With Significant Operational Experience Will Augment Rapidly Accelerating Entrepreneurship
In The Mountain West Region

Highway 12 Ventures, Inc. http://www.highway12ventures.com , an early-stage regional venture capital firm, today announced
the addition of two new General Partners to its management team. Miles Mahoney and Glenn Michael have joined
the firm to support the growing number of entrepreneurs and start-ups in the Mountain West, the fastest growing
region in the country.

"The addition of Miles and Glenn represents the completion of our team with two seasoned executives who bring
extensive operational experience to our firm,” said Mark Solon, Managing Partner. “Glenn and Miles have spent
the bulk of their careers building companies in operating roles. They’ve sat in the same seats as the entrepreneurs
we’re funding and understand firsthand the challenges they’re facing. Together, our team brings the full range of
leadership and operating experience necessary to help launch and build great companies in the region."

With almost 20 years of experience in technology and enterprise software, most recently as Vice President of Global
Alliances and Channels at SAS, Miles Mahoney was responsible for the development and implementation of a
channel program that included OEMs, service providers and resellers in the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. He
also led the effort to sell and deliver enterprise intelligence applications to small-to-medium businesses through
partner programs for resellers and distributors, system integrators and independent software vendors. “Highway 12
Ventures is the perfect platform for me to leverage my work experiences to help entrepreneurs in this region build
important and lasting companies. Just as importantly, I moved here like so many others to enjoy everything the
Mountain West offers.” Other companies that have benefited from his leadership experience include Borland
Software and Crystal Decisions, Business Objects and Day Corporation. Miles’ partnership values and execution
experience are ideally suited at Highway 12 Ventures to work with early stage entrepreneurs and management teams
with a singular focus on success. Miles holds an MBA in business strategy from the Grazadio School of Business at
Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Montana.

Glenn Michael brings extensive senior financial management and executive operating leadership experience to
Highway 12 Ventures following on his successful track record as CFO and COO of several leading technology
companies. Since 1993, Glenn has led finance, human resources and legal for both startups and corporations alike,
including spearheading numerous M & A transactions. At Highway 12 Ventures, Glenn has the unique role of
leveraging his transaction experience to assist companies in preparing for upcoming financings and managing the
M & A process across the firm’s entire portfolio. “I’ve lived in the Mountain West most of my life and it’s
gratifying to be part of the evolution from wonderful place to live to fantastic place to start and build important
companies. I’ve worked closely with the partners at Highway 12 Ventures since its inception and I’m excited to help
