Inside Entrepreneurship: Many angles to consider when compensation is equity

Q: I have been asked to design a retail concept that normally would be billed at $100,000 but will be paid in stock instead of cash. The venture should be funded soon, and good management is in place. Should I take common stock or stock options? My goal is payback in two to four years. Any thoughts?
