Wind turbine plant is a top priority in Butte, Montana

Butte-Silver Bow Community Development Director Karen Byrnes assures us that the county is moving right along on the steps toward helping to bring a wind turbine manufacturing plant to Butte.
“We believe in the project,” Byrnes told The Standard in a recent phone interview. “And we’re working through the processes as quickly as we can to get things done and going.” That’s music to our ears. Gov. Brian Schweitzer’s announcement that Chafin-Fuhrlander http://www.fuhrlaender.de/ would like to break ground as soon as this fall on a $25 million plant that would initially create around 150 permanent manufacturing jobs is one of the most exciting things we’ve heard in a long time.
