Inventors bring plenty of new ideas at Wyoming Conference

POWELL - Build a better mousetrap, the saying goes, and the world will beat a path to your door.
Billings inventor Joseph Grooms is hoping the same is true of lobster traps.
"I've been inventing all my life," said Grooms, who has applied for a patent on a new kind of trap for lobsters, crabs, crawfish and other crustaceans. He also is trying to patent a dog harness he fashioned from a modified horse halter.
"I even invented a better way to get a good fit for my false teeth. I can eat corn on the cob, or anything I want," said Grooms, a retired painter, as he removed his teeth to show off his handiwork.
