Construction of a laboratory at Montana Audubon's http://mtaudubon.org/ first Conservation Education Center near the Yellowstone River kicks off today with groundbreaking for a building that will be a science classroom for thousands of students and offer educational programs for the public.
The first dirt for the new Norm Schoenthal Wet Lab will be turned at 10 a.m. The center is a 27-acre site created on an old gravel pit west of South Billings Boulevard near the South Bridge and next to Norm's Island.
