| April 7, 2008 |
Information about bills for the 2009 session of the Montana Legislature is now available online at http://www.leg.mt.gov/laws.htm
The Legislative Services Division has activated its Legislative Automated Workflow System (LAWS) for the 61st session, which convenes Jan. 5, 2009. The public can use the up-to-the-minute database application to find the text of bills and track their status.
Lawmakers have already asked their staff to draft about 80 bills for consideration next year.
LAWS provides detailed information about all bills and bill drafts before, during, and after a legislative session. During a session, floor agendas, journals, and floor action summaries, as well as committee hearing schedules, are available for both the House and Senate.
