Montana Sec. of State Brad Johnson Alerts Businesses- ANNUAL REPORT DEADLINE NEARING
| April 4, 2008 |
Today Secretary of State Brad Johnson alerted some Montana businesses of an important impending deadline. Montana law requires all Corporations and LLCs doing business in Montana to file an annual report form with the Secretary of State's office by April 15. If they miss that deadline, the filing fee doubles.
"Getting the report done on time saves everyone money - the business, and the state. It's a win-win situation," Johnson said.
Annual reports can be filed online by visiting Secretary of State Brad Johnson's website at http://sos.mt.gov. Those who wish to file a paper report instead of filing online may request the necessary paperwork by calling 1-866-910-6950.
Johnson said, "Filing on time saves money and time for both the businesses and the state. By moving to online annual reporting, we saved over $100,000 for the businesses of Montana. This year, I hope even more businesses will file online."
