Deal to Sell Yellowstone Club Falls Apart

An agreement to sell the Yellowstone Club http://www.theyellowstoneclub.com/ for about $450 million has fallen apart, highlighting the increasing pressures on the high-end real-estate market.
In a March 26 letter, CrossHarbor Capital Partners, the Boston-based private-equity firm, said it was terminating an agreement to buy Yellowstone, the closely held golf and ski resort. The firm told the sellers -- Tim Blixseth and Edra Blixseth -- that it was unable to get adequate due diligence information.

Yellowstone Club not for sale
By SCOTT McMILLION Chronicle Staff Writer
The Yellowstone Club, a millionaires-only gated community south of Big Sky, is no longer for sale, owner and founder Tim Blixseth said Sunday.
“The Yellowstone Club is not for sale and I am keeping it,” Blixseth said in a telephone interview.
