Leonardo will bring fame, fortune to Malta, Montana
| March 30, 2008 |
Don't be surprised to see NASA astronauts on their knees digging for dinosaurs next summer in Montana's eroding plains.
That's the power of Malta's mummy dinosaur Leonardo.
For seven years, the world's best-preserved dinosaur has been stored in a former auto mechanic shop, where a few hundred people saw it each year.
On Sept. 19, Leonardo will begin his role as the star of a special year-long exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science http://www.hmns.org .
"Malta, Montana will be all over the place in that exhibit," said Sue Frary, who is working with the Houston museum and the nonprofit group organizing exhibits for Malta's new Great Plains Dinosaur Museum and Field Station http://visitmt.com/categories/morein ... 39&siteid=1 .
