Starting Up: Boise State a rich mine of entrepreneurial connections

Recently, Idaho’s Department of Commerce put out a poster in conjunction with Idaho TechConnect, Idaho Innovation Alliance and Dr. Heike Mayer called TechBoise Universe.

The poster represents the innovation and entrepreneurial environment in the Treasure Valley. Companies participated by filling out a survey regarding their start-up and operating environments. Larger companies, like Micron and HP, have groups of start-ups floating around them (satellites or spin-offs). My company, Valitics, is a little dot on the poster orbiting around Boise State University’s big dot.
