Conferences to draw thousands to Montana State University, area
| March 26, 2008 |
Thousands of people -- from solar physicists to retirees who love their recreational vehicles -- will attend conferences at Montana State University in the next few months. Other MSU-related conferences will be held off campus.
Participants can learn about the sun-Earth-space relationship or how to share the road with trucks. They can hear the latest on student research or learn about Montana's medical history, climate change in Montana, female researchers at MSU, horse behavior, natural and conventional beef, social norms, shrubs and invasive weeds.
In one international conference, approximately 125 physicists, climatologists and other interested scientists will discuss "Solar variability, Earth's climate and the space environment." The MSU Solar Physics Group organized the June 1-6 conference.
