Making it in Montana - Manufacturing Exports top Agricultural Exports for the first time ever.

For the first time ever exports from the state of Montana are topped by manufactured products rather than agriculture produce. That’s a huge turn of events in such an agrarian state. Yet, while manufacturing is making its mark in the state like never before, it remains one of the least understood segments of our economy.
The flip-flop in historic trends was noted by Steve Holland, Director of the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center http://www.mtmanufacturingcenter.com/ , Bozeman, as a guest speaker at the Montana Outlook Seminar series which were sponsored by the Bureau of Business and Economic Research.
