AMI Semiconductor's new owner to lay off more than 200 employees

AMI Semiconductor in Pocatello officially became ON Semiconductor Monday, but more than 200 local employees won’t be around very long to get to know the new owner.
ON President and CEO Keith Jackson told employees Monday that 60 to 70 positions will be cut at the Pocatello location and that during the next 18 to 24 months the company will phase out one of Pocatello’s older manufacturing plants, which would lead to an additional 150 lost jobs, the Idaho State Journal reported.
